De Bronstgieters Preisvraag 2006 (sorry, in dutch only). Yes! It’s the mother of all competitions. The questions are tricky but there is a lot to gain. Take your best shot overhere at www.myownmusicindustry.nl or overhere at www.debronstgieters.nl. If for some reason you choose not to compete, Peter will probably win this one!
Esc.rec. has another distributor! Thanks to Don Poe @ EAR/Rational… you can now order our esc.rec. releases through EAR/Rational (USA) www.ear-rational.com. Ofcourse we also continue distributing our stuff through our very own esc.rec. mailorder (NL) right here, on the esc.rec. website.
We are now 100% sure… 2006 will be the year in which De Bronstgieters make their astounding comeback, including a very ‘Bronstige’ compilation, released through esc.rec. A website with everything you always wanted to know about De Bronstgieters will be up shortly at www.debronstgieters.nl. Also expect a cd presentation the likes of which you’ve never seen, with (ofcourse) De Bronstgieters kicking it live once more!
One of esc.rec.’s other near future releases is sure to be ’slo-fi’s last stand’, the very last release ever of Roel Meelkop’s moniker slo-fi. And it’s a slamming finale! No release date is set yet…
Decided it would be a shame if the broadcast of 12/12/05 at Concertzender (with Transfolmer and esc.rec.) would be lost forever, so here it is once more… back from the dead (thanks to our J’ee-haw! friends and their trusted server).
Oh yeah! We are just warming up… a good thing in a cold winter… Here is yet another esc.rec. release for you, and it’s a melancholic beauty! Transfolmer is the name Tjeerd Folmer uses for his activities as musician and composer. In his music he tries to create a personal atmosphere combining the warm acoustic sounds of guitar and vocals with the more abstract sound of electronics. Transfolmer’s music can probably be best categorized somewhere in between singer songwriter and electronic experiment. ‘Music for your eyes’ is compiled of songs made between 2001 and 2005.
And ofcourse more info on Transfolmer and ‘Music for your eyes’ can be found through his brand new esc.rec. microsite overhere or at his own website overhere.

Music for your eyes is compiled of songs made between 2001 and 2005. All songs are recorded in Transfolmer’s home in Groningen, the Netherlands. The song Friesche veen was composed as part of a festival about moors in the Utrecht area in Holland. Tracks 1,7,8 and 12 are part of the project Reality Tv which will be released on dvd in the beginning of 2006 and contains video and audio mixed in 5.1 surround. The project will also be performed live.
Transfolmer is the name Tjeerd Folmer uses for his activities as musician and composer. He has been a musician for more than 25 years, mainly as bass/guitar player in bands. Since about 8 years he’s working solo, composing his own music with the help of electronics, his vocals and acoustic instruments, mainly acoustic guitar. Transfolmer is also performing live now for 3 years, sometimes in collaboration with other musicians or video artists.
For Tjeerd, music is a necessity of life. In his music he tries to create a personal atmosphere combining the warm acoustic sounds of guitar and vocals with the more abstract sound of electronics. Transfolmer’s music can probably be best categorized somewhere in between singer songwriter and electronic experiment.
